Donau Soja is a non-profit, international organisation founded on strong values dedicated to promoting sustainable soya cultivation and ensuring a secure protein supply for Europe.
We have over 10 years of experience in developing deforestation- and land-conversion free, non-gm, traceable and transparent soybean supply chains across Europe. Our Donau Soja and Europe Soya standards cover around 10% of the total European soybean production.
We collaborate with over 330 members and 900 partners of all levels of the soya supply chain in 33 European countries, with over 9,000 farmers in our system.
Acting as a sustainability standards holder and a developer of compliance tools, Donau Soja has created Crop Insights to support businesses in meeting the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requirements. Beyond Donau Soja/Europe Soya certified soya, Crop Insights can also be used for non-certified soya coming from supply chains from Europe and outside of Europe.
Donau Soja is also an active member of the European Commission’s EUDR Expert Group and works closely with national competent authorities across the EU and with relevant agencies in Southern, Central, and Eastern Europe.
